My approach to wedding photography has become more common in recent years where people are looking for someone who will capture the raw emotion of the biggest day in their love story.

This style of photography has several different names; wedding photojournalism, documentary wedding photography and reportage wedding photography. What they all attempt to do is tell the story of your big day with the result being your wedding story in pictures.

What makes my style different?

Documentary style photography is very individual and my twist on it is simply that I will set the stage, so I may move you into a position to take advantage of the great light and that I will simply shoot away. So basically I combine the story telling of the wedding day with a little bit of stage setting enabling me to capture images that bring back the emotion and feelings of the day. If you want some more fashion style shots (bride and groom) then we can set aside some tim en the day or better still go for a post wedding shoot as detailed below.

In addition to photography on the big day I also do pre and post wedding shoots – the pre wedding shoot in particular helps us to build up a rapport and is based on my Lifestyle style of photography, the post wedding shoot is a great way to get some creative/fashion style shots without the time pressures and stress of the big day.
