About Stewart Plant....

Photography has always been a major influence in my life. The ability to capture moments in time and portray my emotions and the senses I experienced around me at that time to others is a key factor in my all my photographic work.

In 1997 I left Cheshire and joined the Royal Air Force as a professional photographer and was privileged to travel the world covering many fields of photography such as PR, Portraiture, Medical, Technical, Sport and Aerial. This wide variety of skills has infused over the years into my photography bringing different aspects from each discipline to the works I produce today.

During this time I grew in love with reportage as a a principle style in my work. Capturing the action of the very second in front of me with minimal interference produces the most honest results in my opinion.

In the last 16 years I have been awarded numerous awards for my photography and to this day strive to produce something that is better than the last. Always going that one step forwards to reach the perfect photograph.

Today I photograph on digital medium, but still retain the skills I learnt from wet film and the many hours spent in the darkroom processing the photographs before I presented them to the clients. This hasn't changed, but now my darkroom is replaced by the computer and I am know able to take the photographs to a new level in my work.
