Asian wedding photographer in Yorkshire

19th October 2010 Reel Life Photos Reel Life Photos
Unlike standard UK weddings, Asian weddings always tend to be organised at last minute, and rather than being a busy , one day affair, they spread out over a week with countless relatives all parading in front on the decorated stage for group photographs. I always wear Asian dress, and like the bride and guests need a different outfit for each day, so feel just like any other guest, except that am on my feet all day carrying heavy cameras and a video light for extra sparkle. There is the Nikah (usually quite low-key Islamic wedding ceremony at the bride's house) the Mehndi ( the day the bride and all her female family get their hands and feet decorated with intricate designs in henna) and the Walima (reception) - usually the Saturday is the bride's reception, and the Sunday is the Groom's reception. See a few pics from last week's Asian wedding at the Al-Hikmah Centre in Batley: http://weddingphotos-video.co.uk/blog/?p=2012 more coming soon under All Day wedding pictures on our site too: http://www.reellifephotos.co.uk.
